Remembering Sarah
A space for sharing memories.
Sarah Dinn Dunckel died peacefully on Saturday, Aug 28th in San Antonio, TX surrounded by family.
Sarah was many things: artist, writer, wildflower lover, weed warrior, drummer, and dreamer. She had numerous talents which she approached with skill that made her work seem effortless. Kind, sweet, and playful, she was a gentle badass adored by her family and chosen sisters. Sarah continuously gave to her community. She volunteered with Spare Parts and the Hardberger Park Conservancy, was active in the revival of the Mahncke Park neighborhood, donated handmade children's clothes, and was involved with many women's support groups. Sarah was generous with her own special flavor of joy, and was always a fierce and constant friend. Sarah will be dearly missed by her husband of 46 years Francis Dunckel and her three daughters Meredith, Curry, and Anne.
In lieu of flowers Sarah's family is requesting that donations be made in her honor to the Hardberger Park Conservancy, Spare Parts, or the Esperanza Peace & Justice Center.
